Dining Club with DVC??

I am renting some points to go to Disney World but was wondering if you can get the Dining plan with the DVC?
I would assume you have to pay cash for it or can you use points as well?

DVC ressies can only pay cash for the Disney Dining Plan. No free dining, no DVC points.

How do you book the dining plan? Can you book it online without booking the hotel through Disney? Or do you have to do it once you get to Disney?

If you are renting points from a DVC member for your reservation, you would coordinate with them to make your dining plan reservation. Payment for the dining plan is due when it is added to the reservation. As a non-member, you may not communicate directly with Disney/DVC. You'll need to do everything through the owner you're dealing with.

If you are renting points from a DVC member for your reservation, you would coordinate with them to make your dining plan reservation. Payment for the dining plan is due when it is added to the reservation. As a non-member, you may not communicate directly with Disney/DVC. You'll need to do everything through the owner you're dealing with.

The member will need to add it at least 48 hours before arrival and it must be paid for when it is added. So you will have to pay the owner so they can pay for the plan.

You can ask here on the DISBoards. Would also need to know your arrival date (prices are by calendar year, but arrival date drives prices if you cross over to the new year).

i think they have a FAQ on the different dining plans on the dining forum. DVC stays get the base price for the plan with no holiday surcharges (if any).

note that DVC stays can also get the DDP with no requirement to buy tickets.

(but as others have said, no free dining...ever...)
