Help! I need dining suggestions for a very complicated group of people. Would prefer table service. 2 extremely picky adults (no onions, peppers, mushrooms, chunky tomato sauce, spicy or weird sauces) 1 semi picky (no cheesy things) 1 anti chicken adult and just to mix it up, 2 teenagers and 3 little ones. Seems pretty hopeless to get us all together....the only place that I think might work is Le Cellier. Any other suggestions would be great!!!:cool1:

Are you thinking a "nicer" dinner like a signature? Maybe Narcosees? I've also mentioned this recently on another thread, but most of the chefs are very accomodating about changing the menu items to suit the customer's tastes. So if you come up with a place that is agreeable to "most" in your party go for it. Making an involved dish "plainer" by leaving off seasonings or sauces or substituting side dishes is generally not a problem. So if when your party reads the menu (remember they do change from time to time) if anyone sees something they might like, but prepared a bit more simply than described on the menu, just ask!

Yes, I ate there 2 years ago. I had the Steak. Most of the people I was with got the Skillet. I thought the food was very good. The desserts are wonderful. Just beware that the place gets very rowdy and if the teens embarass easily they may not care for all the shenanigans.
Cape May has a lot of other food items besides the seafood. They usually are carving Prime Rib and they serve ribs. I thought they had chicken also.

The Buffet at Boma's is really good too although some of your group may not care for the slightly more exotic offerings. With a picky group the buffets may have more choices that will be appealing to each of the different people in your group. Chefs de France has really good food also.

I'm thinking Chefs de France. Check out the menu, and see what you think, but I've put together a dinner there where my party consisted of 2 vegans, 2 vegetarians, a kosher couple, 1 no-chicken and 4 picky children. A great meal was had by all!

As someone who ends up flinging at least one thing to the corner of the plate never to be eaten, I can say I have never been at a loss for somewhere to eat at Disney.

Here are some good suggestions:

Casual -

House of Blue ( DTD )
RainForest Cafe ( DTD )
Planet Hollywood ( DTD )
Olivias ( Old Key West )
Kona Cafe ( Poly )

Upscale -

Raglan Road ( DTD )
Yachtsman Steakhouse ( YC )
Ohana's ( Poly ) - all you can eat

I second the comment about the Cape May Buffett - Lot and Lots of options - should have something for everyone.

Ohana's is another good choice. It's sort of like a Texas De Brazil. They come around with scewers of beef, chicken and turkey. They also have a few different sides. This one is also all you can eat so even the pickiest person should not walk away hungry.

Thanks so much, I don't have a problem asking for things at restaurants but others in my party do. I forwarded your comments and hopefully it will work!:thumbsup2

Is Raglan Road really considered upscale? Definately going to Kona with or without the picky ones!

Buffets are great for picky eaters....I would go to allearsnet.com and check out the menus, that is the easiest way to go

I agree with the PP who mentioned Chefs De France. I am SUPER duper picky and it's one of my all time faves! The menu is so varied that there really seems to be something for everyone! Either that or one of the buffets. Perhaps Chef Mickeys or Crystal Palace? I've also found most Disney restaurants to very accomadating with modifying dishes for me!

Whispering Canyon sounds like a fun place....I hope we can handle it! LOL

Last year my family went to Boma for my birthday and we had no problem eating there...went to Chefs as well and loved it. We enjoy the dining part of Disney...the other family that we're going with aren't really into it and are big meat and potato people, thats why I'm trying to get a few meals together and just a few are hard!

We did Chefs last year and liked it but I know it would be tough with the other couple...they like very plain food. Thanks tho!

I think I have read all of the menus! I enjoy it...its just hard for me since I'm not that picky! After reading these boards I know that there are many picky Disney eaters out there!

For a casual meal, try The Plaza at MK. Mostly sandwiches and burgers and ice cream for dessert!

Sounds like an impossible task to me. Reminds me I should give my mom a call and thank her for insisting that I try different kinds of foods.
