Dining Booking Window

I have a reservation booked for a friend on Aug 29-Sept 1. I arrive on Aug 31-Sept 6. If I add my name onto the friend’s reservation, would I be able to book my dining for my trip a couple days early?

I have a feeling not, because it would be 2 separate reservation numbers. Smarter people will hopefully respond.

That would be a split stay and the system would not allow you to book for the second stay.

That's right, even with a split stay they won't let you do it. Forgot about that!

Theoretically you could book your dinning for 8/31 & 9/1 at 60 days before 8/29. You’d have to wait until 60 days before 8/31 to book 9/2 - 9/6.
I don’t know whether having your name on 2 overlapping reservations would gum up the MDE works though .
