Dining at WL?

Can someone fill me in a little on dining at WL? We'll be having dinner at Artist's Point in December but we're making a really quick hit and run visit in October and staying at WL. Is there any other option beside Whispering Canyon? All those antics just don't appeal to my mother and one of the kids is really self concious and would be miserable. We're talking about Breakfast and Lunch. Dinner we've got covered.

The only other place besides Whispering Canyon and Artist Pointe is Roaring Forks, which is their snack bar. You can get breakfast and lunch food there.

That would work, I thought I had heard it was closed but if it's open then that will be fine. Is there a pool-side snack bar of any kind where the kids could maybe get burgers or whatever?

There is a snack bar at the pool. Allearsnet.com has their menu. I think they might have had a buger on the menu. I'm fairly certain that Roaring Forks is back open so that shouldn't be a problem for you!

The lack of dining choices is the main reason we really didn't enjoy our stay at WL. I perfer more options I can walk to, or at least take the monorail.

I'm with your mom .. I don't have a desire to go to Whoopin' Hollerin' Canyon, either! ;)

I suggested room service to her and she thought that sounded good. Her only request for our Christmas trip was quiet(er) restaurants. Also she said she may bring a table cloth and put it on the table herself if I don't find a place with tablecloths! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

You can also request to be in the back at Whispering... They are very good about not engaging you if you request. (The Tablecloth thing is a hoot!) You can also take the Boat to DTD I think, would open up your choices.

We once sat in a little section of WCC that was not really in the part with all the whooping it up. It was off to the side near the kitchen area and almost jutted out towards the lobby. It was nice not to be out in the main dining area for a change.
