dining at the bar at Citricos

So I am going to After Hours at MK on a Monday. That starts at seven I believe. I am staying at the Grand Floridian (for the first time) and I want to have a decent meal before AH, one that does not require me to leave the property. Citricos seems to be the obvious choice. I have no reservation, though, so I want to score a seat at the bar. Do we think showing up when they open (5 PM) gives me a good chance at a bar seat?

Yes. We did Citricos as a walk-up, party of 2, on a trip a few months ago. They seated us in the dining room, but there were many seats available in the lounge. If you go right when they open, I think you have a good shot at a spot.

Guess that's only in a few hours but you should have zero problem - my experience there is the bar does not fill up quickly at all and if you show up at 5 you could easily be the only one at the bar the whole time. And if for some reason it is I have also used the Join Wait List in the app for a table with a lot of success there.

Obviously conditions can always vary evening to evening but I've never seen it all that bad. Enjoy your dinner!

A data point. I just walked into Citricos at 5:50. I’m the only person at the bar. Obviously it’s going to vary day to day - but it clearly hasn’t been busy so far today.

Appreciate the data point, it's my first time staying at GF and I don't know what to expect. Though sometimes I think I worry too much about not having a reservation as they tend to open up the closer you get to your stay (just last night I snagged a Monsieur Paul dinner in two weeks.)

I’m literally sitting at Monsieur Paul’s right now finishing the last of post dinner cordial. It’s SO good.

I do the same thing, but honestly with a party of one or two you can almost always find something last minute. Even Mr. Paul had walk up availability. Not on the app/website but I heard host talking with a party when I arrived.

Did you have the six o'clock seating at Monsieur Paul? I have heard to expect a three hour experience.
