Dining at SOG

We are staying at the Poly, but DH is in National Guard. Eligible to stay at SOG, but just went a different way. I was just reading about SOG on the resorts page and there were rave reviews of the dining. I'm esp. interested in the Friday seafood buffet as DS's favorite food is crab legs. Getting to my ?, if we are not staying at SOG but are eligible military can we dine there? Also heard that AAFES is nice. Any problem shopping there. Of course, we would have our ID's.

You can eat at Shades - just show your military ID's at the gate. We enjoyed the seafood buffet. It's nothing phenomenal, but for the price it's good.

We enjoyed shopping at the AAFES store. Got some great pj's there!
