Dining at Disney with a restricted diet?

Disney does a very good job at working with you regarding ur diet..depends on what your restrictions are I would check with the restaurants prior to making a reservations to make sure there isn't any problems. I would call and speak with customer service and see if they can add that restriction to your reservation and ask if they could give you better direction on who to speak to regarding the restriction.

If you made your reservations online you can make some of your restrictions on there just to let them know ahead of time. I am a vegan so I always put it in there but also when I arrive at the restaurant let my server know. Someone from the kitchen always comes out to clarify and then after my meal is made the come out and explain the cooking process. Disney is great when it comes to special dining requests.

OP, it depends on your restrictions.

WDW is excellent at accomodating things like no sugar (diabetics), veggitarians, low sodium...stuff like that. You call the speical dining line and speak with someone about the restrictions and your reservations.

Now restrictions like gastric by pass or weight loss surgery they are a little less accomodating. Meaning at a buffet you will be charged full price...period. You cannot be charged for a "kids" portion or less than a regular adult.
Same thing with regular CS or TS places. You are charged normal, whether you eat it or not.

Hope that answers your questions.
