Dining at AK RFC/Parking Fee

Hi-
I just made a reservation for lunch at the AK RFC 2/7/06 at 1:15pm. I was told that I would have to pay to park when dining at this restaurant if I drove my own car. She advised that I would have to pay even though I will be staying on property and visiting AK before lunch.

Is this new?
Did I miss an announcement?

Who would charge you? RFC? And how would they know if you drove over or took a resort bus? Parking is free at the parks for onsite guests, FC does not have a seperate parking area from the park...unless all that changes by February, which I doubt.

When you show them your paper from your car that says you're a resort guest, they won't charge you to park as you go through the booths. I can't see RFC asking you!

Another case of inaccurate information. You won't have to pay to park at AK if you are a resort guest.

Thanks--I go to WDW 2-3 times a year and have never had to pay to park when staying onsite.
When I questioned her, she still said I had to take Disney transporation or else WDW would charge me to park my car at AK.
Sounded a bit off to me.

It sounds like the CM didn't understand that you were staying at a Disney resort on-property.

Here's the classic---they ask if you are staying onsite when you book it. I told her I was staying at VWL and had an annual pass.. She said I would still be charged. I'm hoping she was just confused.

Now, that's a double whammy, because either being a resort guest, or having an annual pass would get you free parking.
