Are there any restaurants or tours that need to be booked right at 60 days? We are a little less than 3 weeks from that mark, and I don't have any kind of itinerary yet beyond arrival and departure days. I am trying to figure out if I.need to figure some of that out before we get to 60 days.

FWIW, we do want to do the Minnie and friends in park character meal, a fantasmic dinner (not sure if BB or RBT), a woc dinner (CC likely), and either Napa rose or steakhouse 55. Basically, I have a pretty good idea of what I want, just not when we want it yet. I.am also planning on doing a walk in Walt's footsteps tour as a birthday present to myself :) we are unexpectedly taking 2 days out of the week long trip to go to San Diego, and I haven't figured out what order we are doing what in yet.

A follow on q - at 60 can I book dining for every night of our stay, or would it be one day at a time? (We are at a good neighbor hotel if that makes a difference)

TIA!
(BTW, the freedom I feel right now from not having already preplanned most of this as I would have if it were WDW is *awesome!*)

Unless you're looking at some very special event, it's very unlikely that any dining reservation will need to be made right at the 60-day mark. If you look on the 60-day mark and something is shown as being fully booked, it's more likely that they have not yet loaded it into the system.

I think most (if not all tours) cannot be booked until the 30-day mark.

One day at a time. DLR doesn't have the "+10" feature like WDW does for on-site guests.

We arrive the weekend of the Avengers 1/2 marathon, which is (I think) historically also the opening weekend of the holiday season at DLR. Is that enough to put pressure on dining reservations?

And thanks for the tip on if it looks fully booked at 60 days. I did just see the other thread about early october bookings, so I'll definitely be keeping that in mind!

I think it means getting a walk-up will be tough, but not that reservations will be tough to get in general. I would only be worried about the 60-day mark if you're looking for Thanksgiving or Christmas Dinner or if they did some special "one-night only" type of dining event. Other than that, I don't think you need to be online right on the 60-day mark.

...either Napa rose or steakhouse 55.
The Napa Rose Chef's Counter may book quickly at 60 days. The Chef's Counter must be booked directly with Napa Rose by phone, and there have been a few reports of reservations being accepted ahead of 60 days.

Thanks :) While I would love to do the Chef's Counter, I'm not sure if it's in the cards on this trip. There are 5 of us (DH, me, DD and 1 set of grandparents). DD is a toddler...she's a very easy going toddler, and would be fascinated by the chef's counter - so it's not so much her behavior I'd be concerned about. She would be just fine in that respect (she just handled a full day wedding beautifully). I'm more concerned she'd be so distracted by the chefs that she wouldn't eat herself! (we do have that problem when she's too distracted)

I gather there are only 8 spaces per session, two sessions a night, I booked over the weekend for October 5th. When we visited last year we tried to get a reservation just in the restaurant, had left it until we arrived, but they were fully booked for the 5 nights we were there.

Fantasmic Blue Bayou would probably be the only one to nail early. Two years ago we walked up to Plaza Inn for the Minnie Mouse breakfast and were seated straight away (but would still book if it is a must do place)
