Dining and Planning Question

My daughter and SIL will be here on 12/12 and want to go to SW on 12/13. Which is better = Luau or Dining with Shamu. How much does Dining with Shamu cost? Will there be fireworks?

I haven't been to either, but the Luau has not gotten very good reviews.
