We chose to do second seating dinner for our cruise. Now I'm wondering if we will be able to see the fireworks on Pirate night. Does anyone know?

You will be able to see them.

Yes, no problem at all. They make sure nobody misses anything. It's been awhile since we were on the Dream so I don't know if they've changed it. Our last two cruises on the Magic (the latest a couple of weeks ago) I thought it was easier because the show in the theatre is finished earlier than most people are done with dinner. We went up right after the show was finished at 7:15 and had a great spot for the pirate party (7:30) and fireworks (8:00). Then we partied for a bit longer and went down to dinner at 8:15.

Thank you.

Do you really think they would time a fireworks show in such a way that nearly half of the ship is unable to view it?

I am cruising in May and I wasn't sure if it would be dark enough before the 8:15 dinner time. I just wanted to make sure. It was just a question.

When we were on the Dream it was June and I'm pretty sure we had two pirate shows, one between shows/dinners and one after and I think the late one had the fireworks. I want to say it was at 10 or something. I'm not sure if they still do it that way any more. I recommend looking at past Navigators on the Disney Cruise Line Blog and look for the sailing you have at the time of year you have for last year and see what they did.
