My DH and I are trying to finalize our dining plans for our trip next week and need advice. Here's where we plan to eat: :mickeybar

Rainforest Cafe, Downtown Disney (Dinner the day we arrive)
Donald's Breakfastosaurus
Flame Tree Barbecue (Lunch)
Crystal Palace (Breakfast)
Hollywood & Vine (Fantasmic Dinner Package)
Alfredo's in Italy (Lunch)
Liberty Tree Tavern Character Dinner

We would like recommendations for other dining locations, please. DH wants me to call for a PS for lunch at Mama Melrose, but I'm not sure since we already have a PS at Alfredo's (too much Italian???). I've always wanted to eat at Sci Fi for the cool theming, but after reading so many negative reviews from so many sources I've decided not to (is it true that if you're a party of just two people they make you sit in a car with strangers? I read that somewhere).

Any advice/recommendations would be very much appreciated!!! :earboy2:

I would go for dinner at CRT in the MK. Very romantic and no characters for dinner!

I have a PS for sci-fi, Will try it this summer. I also recommend spoodles on the Boardwalk. A small walk from Epcot and not far from MGM. Nice Mediterannean food.

As for MAma Melrose, if you like Italian, why not? I know I can NEVER get enough Italian food.

We were a party of two and thought Sci Fi was great. To minimize the wait we agreed to sit at a picnic table, so I don't know whether they seat you with strangers. I thought I would be disappointed by not sitting in a car but the experience was still good. I enjoyed watching the clips and their vanilla milkshakes are delicious.

I would select Planet Hollywood over Rainforest Cafe, but if you can swing it do both. If you're into seafood and steak Fulton's, Portobello Yacht Club and Yachtsmen Steak House are good ones. Ohana at Polynesian is a lot of fun, food is good and you can get a table overlooking the lagoon. Very pretty at sunset. Good Luck.

We love Sci Fi! The theme is great, the food is great! We will be going there again next week. Can not wait. Since we are a group of three, I am not sure about the seating with strangers.

Have a great time!!!!

We just had a wonderful (yet pricey) dinner at the Contemporary Resort's California Grill. Beautiful view of the Magic Kingdom, great food & amazing atmosphere. When you arrive for your reservation, ask if there are any window tables open - we did, and we got the last one available! It was truly a wonderful dining experience.

In the parks we love to go to Crysal Palace in MK, LeCellier in Epcot, 50's Primetime in MGM and Flametree BBQ in AK.

If you're in Downtown Disney, try Earl of Sandwich - something for everyone. ::MinnieMo

But my favorite meal of all is breakfast at the Kona Cafe in the Polynesian Resort- The Tonga Toast is the greatest breakfast ever!
