Dining Accommodations?

My son and I are ASD. It's cool, we're troopers, we can handle WDW with some preparation. For his first trip last year, we took the mid-day break to avoid the worst of the crowds and catch a little down-time. Unfortunately, we then felt the pressure to rush through the rest of our day at the parks in order to do everything. (It didn't help we were staying at AKL on the back-end of nowhere.) That being said, we've decided to try forgoing the break this time, taking a slower pace, upgrading the dining plan and taking a long TS lunch.

TL;DR My husband is dying to go to Biergarten. Can they accommodate a smaller and/or quieter table for those who might need one?

1) Midday at Biergarten is usually not all that busy.
2) You should be able to be out-of-the-way.
3) But,
. . . you still must negotiate crowds for the buffet
. . . the Om Pah band is loud
. . . guests tend to talk OVER the band, which can create a din

The band is loud, but if you check on the dining board some people may know the schedule and you could try to schedule around it. That may work well for you. We have usually gone right when they open, the first time we didn't even know they had a band and left before they started.

Something big to consider- Biergarten has an odd seating tradition. They have you share tables as you would in Europe. So your group of 3 may be seated with a family of 5, at an 8 person rectangular table.
We never asked to be alone, so maybe if somebody knows if they do this they will chime in.
