New owner question...

Is there anything special you have to do to make sure your DVC resort stay "talks" to the dining reservation platform to be able to take advantage of the 60+ window?

I'm only getting one day at 60 days and trying to determine if I need to do an additional step...OR...if DVC Member services didn't get my two reservations linked together. (My reservation is 1 day + 5 days at the same resort - but had to originally book separately due to availability)

You may need to add your reservations to MDE account in order to make reservations beyond 60 days. At minimum, you should be able to book reservations for 2 days with your 1 day resort reservation.

If you go to the DVC Dashboard does it show as 1 or 2 reservations? If it still shows as 2 then they weren't merged. Also, as the previous poster mentioned the reservation HAS to be linked to the MDE, otherwise the platform doesn't know the reservation belongs to you.

The current system is horrible/glitchy etc. I made my 60 day reservations on 2 different reservations (2 days followed by 10 days) about a week ago - it was awful & took a couple of hours :(
I found this thread detailing the WDW site’s glitches and how to overcome them to be very helpful.

Sounds like the OPs issue was that 1) their 2 reservations weren't merged yet and 2) the OP didn't link the reservation to the MDE so the system would have no way of knowing they even had a resort stay.

But, I agree the system is quite glitchy.
