Help what is DING?

Someone please explain to me!

It is a program offered by Southwest Airlines, you down load it onto your computer and when they offer specials you hear a "ding". The specials are only good for a limited time, only a few hours but they are usually a great deal. We got airfare from Phila to Ft Lauderdale $184.00 for 2 people round trip.
You can not get the deals unless you have the down loaded program, the deals are not offered on the main website. It is free, just go to Southwest.com and there is an icon that you click on and it is very easy to do.

Ok so I am going to get Ding but I am wondering how is it to travel from the shore area of NJ to Phil. for a flight?

Do they offer DING fares for one way? And how far in advance can I find them? I'm looking at October, which hasn't been released by SW or Airtran yet. Are the DING fares offered at a comparable time, or are they like "clearance" on flights that are coming up soon?

They are all 1 ways but you can get both ways.They are sometimes just 1 week or two yet sometimes they are the untire OPEN time frame .There is no pattern at all .

Sometimes you get 1 a day sometimes up to 4.

The good thing is if you are already booked to can cancel and use credit towards the Ding.(you just have to open two windows and do this at about the same time)
