WOW!!! I will NEVER fly out of Toronto again!!! Just cost us $1200+ for 3 ppl!! :furious:

So, where can I find this kind of info. for our trip next Sept.? :confused3

Thanks neighbor!!! :teeth:

Got "Dinged" this AM too!
Great prices....we flew AC /2pp late Aug.- $858!

Too bad we can't go this fall :sad2:

(I just followed the links on Southwest web site and signed up).

Yes, I saw this great ding too. I've already booked with SW for our Nov. trip but decided to check our dates and the internet fares for the non stop flights that I booked earlier there and back are all booked. They were going for $54.99 when I checked. I paid $73.49 one way per person ($808 CDN for 4ppl) which is still a great deal considering we paid almost $2000 for 4 of us to fly out of Pearson last October. We've never flown out of Buffalo before so I hope all goes well.

Hopefully someone can get in on these great deals!!

I rebooked as well. We had decided this week to go down for a quick 3 nt trip...managed to get POFQ and great flights with SWA...today they dropped again!!

Bought our return airfares this morning. Today was the first time I had seen November Ding fares (we fly down in Oct & return in Nov). bought our FIVE flights to MCO a few weeks ago for $314 USD taxes, surcharges included.

Our return flights today cost $289 all taxes etc included.

$600 USD as compared to about $1600-2000 CDN$ out of Toronto. :cool1:

Last year made a believer out of me to fly out of Buffalo, altho I'm still not convinced I would do it in January or early Feb with weather conditions they have in Buffalo that don't seem quite as bad in Toronto. I wouldn't care if my flight home was delayed but not getting there would make life very unbearable with upset DD9, DD7, DS4 and most importantly DW?? :rotfl2:

That was my exact thought this morning when I booked Air Canada. :) Maybe next time I'll travel in the summer and not worry.

not sure if you are aware but you can rebook and get the lower fare and then get your money back on your CC.
Hope this helps!

Yeah, I used to think that, too.

Picture it.
January 2005.
Going down for the ½ Marathon.

I booked Westjet.
Took Robert Q (left at 3:00 a.m.) for an early morning flight-7:00 I think. Sisters book SWA from Buffalo.
Ice storm cometh.
They fly (figuratively) to Buffalo from St. Catherines, I snooze to Toronto.
They take off...no problem.
Westjet....waiting, waiting, waiting for the plane from Montreal (?) to arrive. That connection had been delayed because of.....SNOW.
Sisters got to WDW in the morning.
I arrived by Mears just before 5:00 in the evening. :confused3
Moral of the story....don't hesitate because Buffalo gets a lot of snow. They are used to it there. :)

Have flown out of Buffalo many times in the winter....only one delay. And it was home....and it was an option to cancel in case they closed the airport. They didn't and we stayed an extra day!!!

Toronto is a much larger airport with many more flights, this equals many more runways to clear, flights to get out and greater possibility of delays.

I'm pretty sure the internet fares for my dates are not available, but for future reference would you just rebook and then call SW and cancel the original flights?? I thought I read somewhere that they would just give you a credit that you would have to use within one year, is this correct? Or do they refund your credit card?
Thanks for the info as I am fairly new at all this.

Yes....you will just get a credit, There have been instances where some folk have lucked out and got a CC refund...but this is quite rare.

What you would do is cancel your original ressie then book the Ding fare at the lower price then call the long distance number as ask for the money back, I had it refunded 3X and I got my friends money back for her too, if you stay on the same flight they usually give you the money back.
Good luck!
