Is Dine With Shamu worth it? I know the DIS reviewed this a while ago and it wasn't very flattering.

Has anyone done this recently?

I've done it 3 times and I say YES! Even though I didn't enjoy it as much this past time (it felt shorter) I feel like for the price and what you get it is a really cool experience. The food is great, my only complaint there is that they added seafood to the only pasta dish and I'm not a seafood eater...I got a little and just picked out the shrimp and crab. This year (in Jan) the "show" portion was 20 minutes on the dot the day I went and I felt like in years past when we've done it (2006 and 2009 I believe) it seemed longer, maybe 30 minutes. I did notice one portion was missing so it probably was a little shorter. Since they brought it back with the lower price I don't think you can go wrong with Dine with Shamu.

We really enjoyed our DWS experience over Christmas week. We went to SeaWorld twice, and had the all-day dining plan one day and did Dine With Shamu on the other. We thought it was a good value at $29.99 pp and that the food was excellent.

You can see lot of photos from our visit in my trip report (just click on the link in my signature). Dine With Shamu begins on page 6, post 82.

Thank you! My family is taking a trip to WDW in December and my sisters only request is Sea World and Dine With Shamu! Lol

Just wanted some opinion if it is worth the cost.

Thanks!

I will be the odd one out. We did it in Feb or so 2013, and would not do it again. The food wasn't good, the check in process took FOREVER, we happened to be seated a long way from the food and alone with a 3 and 5 year old it was hard to manage.

In all fairness, it was a LONG hot day and it would have been better if I had left the park and gotten MCDees on the way home as we were all beat. I think we hit them on an off evening and our "mood" didn't help.

We are going to be doing this for my birthday this year and I am super excited!!! I've heard great things and like many have said with the price you really can't go wrong

I really want to this on my winter trip later this year - are there lots of choices for people who don't eat seafood? I eat all types of meat but can't touch fish!

We did it last year....it was fun and the food was pretty good. I am glad we did it, but its not high on my list to do again. :)
