Can you dine at any of the restaurants in the park without a park ticket? We would love to eat at one of the park restuarants our 1st day in Disney, but at the same time, we don't want to use one of our park hopper days since we will be arriving midday. Does Disney allow this?

for our family of six it only cost $13 to go from 7 to 8 days so we always go to the park if we have even an hour or two on the first and/or last day. The fewer days on your ticket the more it costs to add a day though so it may not work for you (I think day 10 is only $6 more for us). Of course if you already have 10 day tickets, day 11 is *very* expensive.

If you're going to the parks 5 days or more, an additional day in the parks is only 2 dollars. You can go eat and play a few hours for that 2 bucks. Last year we arrived at 2 on Saturday, went to MGM half a day , then left early on Friday after going to Epcot for several hours. Worth all 200 pennies.

When you make an ADR for a park restarurant you will even get a spiel about needing a park ticket for entry.

Why not head over to the Poly or Contemporary. You could dine at Ohana's or Chef Mickey's then go to the poly beach and watch the fireworks.

Downtown Disney is a good option too. California Grill is a beautiful place to watch fireworks, although, with my kids, once they saw the MK, they wanted to go to the MK!
Back when tickets were priced differently, we would always go to Downtown Disney on our arrival day, now we get tickets for every day we are there since the price difference is so slight

We are ONLY staying for a 2 1/2 days :( This is a quickie trip from cheerleading nationals being held in Atlanta. We are from New Jersey and thought since we are south anyway, why not keep going further south to Disney:thumbsup2

The poly or the the Contemporary are good ideas. Thanks!
