Dine in movies and toddlers

Hello everyone I am trying to decide what to do 1 night of our trip. We are doing a split stay staying at a non Disney hotel before going to the grand Floridian. The day before we arrive at our Disney hotel I have us going to sea world for the day. We plan on leaving sea world by 3 (4 at the latest). We were originally planning to eat at Splitzville and then do bowling afterwards but let's face it what is my 20 month old suppose to do while we're bowling. Anyways I just found out that there is a really cute movie coming out called "home" 2 weeks before our vacation. So here is my question. Does the dine in movie theater have booster seats? Or are we suppose to hold our little one on our lap the whole time? I think my 20 month old would definitely prefer the movie to bowling. I am just trying to figure out how it will work. TIA!

I'd be surprised if the theater has booster seats. Probably they expect adults to find seating where the toddler's view isn't blocked, i.e. arrive early.

I don't know what theater exactly you are talking about, but most theaters and even for live shows we have ever been to anywhere have booster seats. DD is "vertically challenged" and even as a young teen would use them to see Broadway shows. They are generally the all in one molded plastic type with no straps and are usually stacked up at the entrance to the theaters for you to grab as you go in. Perhaps you could call the actual theater in advance?

The AMC in my town has boosters seats just stacked up along the wall off the lobby so my guess would be all AMCs provide them.

Ok thanks everyone. I'm not concerned about him being able to see the movie bc he could sit on our laps or we could reserve seats. I am concerned about him not being able to each the table for the food.

We are going to wing it I think. I think my family would enjoy this more than bowling. Besides we can always go bowling at home for way less than the cost at Disney lol. But where else could we experience dining at the movies lol. I didn't know you could reserve your seats but you can do that right from fandango. Anyways thanks for all the info!

Just another thought, if Splitsville has "ramps" and lane bumpers she may enjoy bowling. My daughter liked bowling with a ramp (you essentially just push the ball down a metal ramp) when she was a little thing. I would definitely be happier to have her bowl where she can burn off energy vs. trying to make her sit still for a movie at 20mos.

This. I don't have kids, but I seriously doubt that most 20 month olds would have the patience to sit through a movie, and it definitely wouldn't be fair to the other movie goers to have to deal with watching a movie with a fussy toddler in the theater.

I would not take a toddler to a dine in movie. Yes, kids under 18 are allowed with a parent, but the fact that they don't want 16 year olds there without supervision leads me to believe they want a quiet, polite audience, especially since ticket prices are higher.

I've taken toddlers to the movies - I've also spent 1 1/2 hours in the lobby with a toddler. Are you prepared to leave your food and leave the theater? Even the most well behaved 20 month old can be chatty during a movie.

Go bowling, and use bumpers.
