Dilemma!!

Fantastic! Another trip!

Is it just the two of you this time? (You and DW)

Oh why has Matt come home he seemed to be loving it but I've not kept up with his blog with having the baby?

Congratulations :thumbsup2

A few reasons but the main one was his course/modules didn't match up, they had put him in a 3rd year class but he is only in his 2nd year. He could have crammed 2 years study into one but then he would have had to study every spare moment he had. He wanted to enjoy his year there not just study so decided returning home was the best option. Try read his Blog, it goes into more detail there.

Oh what a shame but I think he's done the right thing.

Thankfully there was no right or wrong thing to do. He really wanted to split himself in two. He enjoyed Lancaster so much he didn't want to miss his 2nd year there but wanted to experience living in the US. Now means he can continue getting writing experience here, he has been accepted as a writer on The National Student, last Friday had a 14 minute phone call from Alexis Conran for his first article. http://www.thenationalstudent.com/Author/Mathew_Gillings
He is also looking forward to another Freshers week, being a student ambassador and getting more involved with Uni Admin, possibly more outreach work.

Sounds like he is doing brilliantly. When i'm back at work after my maternity leave if your down in London i'd be happy to show Matt around the BBC newsroom if he's interested.

Glad you got it sorted and I'm sure it will still be a lot cheaper than a week in Boston and New England even with the air fares to Tampa! And it's always good to know you are going to somewhere you know for certain you will enjoy. Plus, got to get the value from those APs ;). We're activating some AP vouchers we've had for years next January so I expect to see more of the parks than we usually do during the following 12 months :)

I'm off to Lake Garda next week and as you know, along with Florida, it's my other 'happy place'. Maybe you could be tempted to try it if you ever take a break from Florida ;).

I did really enjoy our holiday in Italy, Venice one of the best places I have ever been but don't know anything about Lake Garda, maybe one year.:goodvibes
