Dilemma: Book Fast Passes Now or Wait to Check Weather?

We are Spring Breaking in Orlando for 10 days surrounding Easter Easter b/c friends have a house off property. We will go to Disney for 2 of the 10 days we are there. My original plan was to decide which days when we arrived based on weather, allowing us to spend the hot/sunny days at the beach but wanted to know if that is a terrible idea to get last minute FP during Easter. Here are all the issues I'm factoring in:
1. It's Easter so it will be crazy crowded no matter what--even with FP
2. We are well into the 30 day FP window so there's no guarantee we will get FP we care about anyway
3. Only 2 of the 7 of us going want to/are tall enough to ride the big thrill rides --they could break off and just wait in the lines
4. I am in my 3rd trimester of pregnancy so my preference is to have flexibility and not be overly scheduled. I'm not going to be able to push at a fast pace to try to see everything

I need to know from you experts if it is crazy to not book FP ahead of time so we can have more flexibility in what days we go or will we be sorry? Is it possible there won't be any same day FP left at all? What would you do?

Thanks!

Book now.

(Nobody knows anything about the weather more than 12 hours in advance... or even then.)

If you wind up NOT going to WDW on the pre-booked FP days, but going on other days, you'll be no worse-off than simply not pre-booking any FP+ in the first place.

Book now. Modify later as/if needed.

You have more to lose by waiting (declining availability) and more to gain by doing them now (more availability to work with).

It’s just 3 FPs, so that won’t suddenly make your days super-structured.

Waiting to book same-day or very close to it isn’t totally crazy, but since there’s really no reason or downside NOT to book some now, I’d be inclined to go ahead and book them.

You also have a somewhat largeish party - that ‘may’ pose a challenge in getting same day FPs for some attractions - even non-thrill ride ones.

BTW, :welcome: to the DIS!

Good luck!

Why not check now to see what is even available that you will want on any of the 10 days? That might give you an idea of what might be available day before or day of. The biggies are probably already taken anyway. With only one or two riding those, it there's a possibility of getting one or two as individuals with overlapping times.

Good point! I had not thought about the fact that we would need 7 last minute FP.
