We're scheduled to arrive at the Beach Club on 10-28 for the Free Dining promotion. I do realize that promotion ended 9-29. Soooo .... assuming the BC had availability for us if we decided to arrive a night early, could we still get the Free Dining starting then, or would we have to get a room-only, then check out the next morning and check back in to start our package? Thanks!

I'm sorry, I don't know the answer but I just had to post and say this was the most efficient answer to a question and it really made me laugh. If only they could all be that easy!

It was late. I was tired. I do believe that is the correct answer though! You can't just show up a day early and add a night with free dining. All dining related things must be done 72 hours in advance even if they would agree to extend free dining for that date after the booking window had ended. See? I did have more to say.

Since the free dining promo has expired, you would need to call now and speak with someone in Guest Services to check availability as CRO usually doesn't have access to check availability or make changes under an expired promotion. If the BC is available for that first night under free dining, guest services can add that night to your package. Keep in mind that dining must be added at least 3 days prior to arrival, so it's best to call now for availability. If the BC is not available with free dining, you would have to book room only for that night and check out/in the next morning for your package. Good luck.

I arrive the Saturday after Thanksgiving every year and the promos usually don't start until Sunday.

I have booked my last three years with a room-only the first night and then my package starts the next day. I have been able to link my reservations and have not had to move, except one year and it was totally worth it.

The computers roll over at 6 am, so you can go up to the desk anytime after that and receive your package items.

In January, I was able to call and add a few nights at the end of my trip with FD after the promotion had technically ended.

I think it would depend on if your new check in date was originally included in the original promotion and had availability. The difficulty in your situation is that the FD promotion is based on check in date and availability. You won't know unless you call and check, assuming you booked through Disney directly.

If you can't, then trying to add a room only night is your next option. We also did this in January, as the FD promotion didn't start until the second night of our trip. It would be a separate reservation, but you can link them and possibly stay in the same room. (Which is how it worked out for us; you won't know for sure until the second morning.) You do have to check in for each stay, but I did so right at 7 a.m. so the process was pretty quick.

If you booked through Disney, I'd call them ASAP to see what they can do. If not, I'd call who you booked through so you can try to link the ressies if necessary. Good luck!

Thanks everyone for your helpful suggestions! And by the way, I wasn't planning to just show up a night early and try to add the Free Dining. ;) I wanted to ask on here first to see if it was worth calling about. Gonna try that now; wish me luck!
