Another page for DD's second grade book. She FINALLY let Dad pull one of her teeth...a huge step! Anyway, I followed Christy's detailed instructions so hopefully my page will show up the right size this time!

Kellig -- It's just adorable.... LOVE the colors! What great pics and love your journaling!! $10 wow!! :) Do you scrap in 8x8 or 12x12 in SBC+? I scrap in 12x12....so I based my instructions off that. If you are doing 8x8 you might want to resize at a little higher percentage than 17%.... we can see it fine... but it wouldn't hurt for it to be a little bigger... But it REALLY looks great!! :thumbsup2

Thanks Christy! I used LOTS of your guidance for this...recoloring with the hue feature and resizing. You are right...I am currently doing 8x8 for this book so I will probably increase the size a little. It's bigger than my previous ones, but still not a perfect size.

I posted a question on the SBC+ thread if anyone that's familiar would mind taking a look. Thanks! :goodvibes

Wow...not a page on here recently that hasn't been awesome. Love them all.

I finally tried a challenge tonight. Not a speed scrap - don't think I could ever meet the deadline but here's what I came up with for the challenge (which for me was just like a speed scrap - although it took me all night!).

The theme was using Disney song lyrics.

I had a whole bunch of pics of the girls from the summer so it was hard to pick! I wanted to find a pattern from India to use and that is what that background paper is.

Thanks for your kind words.

I keep looking at the layouts here - yours, Christy, and Pam's and Melissa's and Wenrob's and Kelli and they're all so different yet each one captures something really special. Lots of talent here with layering and color and design.

Well, I'm almost at the end of scrapping for the photo book....I have a bunch of pages I haven't posted here. You'll probably be sick of me by the time I'm done! But anyway, here are a couple I've done over the past week in a flurry to get these done. The book is a Christmas present for Alex (my granddaughter, not my daughter) :) The blonde girl (woman? - she's still my baby) is my youngest daughter - Allison.

So here goes:

Wen, that LO's is wonderful! Love how the colors are all so 50s and it just feels so much like a sock-hop!

Here's one I did this weekend.

And I'm really bummed by the fact that the next presidential election will see my eldest actually voting. Where on Earth did the time go?

Here is the one I did last night for Britt's Everyday Magic challenge at SM:

Hypermommy: Love your LO - that's a great memory!

Melissa: Your Madagascar 2 LO is awesome! I was thinking of doing something and think I may have to lift yours!

Wen --- Man that is CUTE!!! That 50s Diner kit is really adorable... DD looks like she is really getting into character too! :)

Hypermommy -- really cute LO. I like the composition with those paper strips behind the pictures... Very cool thing to document during this historical election year!

Melissa-- SUper cute. WOW -- that just POPS!!! Glad to see you gave it two thumbs up!! I REALLY want to go see this.... the first one is one of my favorite animated movies of all times.... makes me laugh so hard!

Here's one from me... :)

Melissa - love your LO! It really pops!! Love the colors you've chosen.

Christy - love the colors in yours. And I love how your photos are in the corner so the beauty of the paper comes through.

Here's the one I did for Christy's Speed Scrap at SM today:
