Suzi-The Magic was part of the template. I got it as a three pack at Funky Playground for 1.00! It was filled w/much more bling but for me a little goes a long way, LOL. Yes, by 'piecing' I meant I took the little pile of gold glitter from Britt's Dreams Do Come True and selected the castle w/the magic wand, inverted, went to the glitter and hit delete. Over 30 layers! It was a pain in the butt but Sleeping Beauty Castle at DL is trimmed out in gold so I had to do, lol. Then I linked all the layers and duplicated them and played w/blend modes to get it to shine through the acrylic.

eta: And thanks for the compliment!

clearly I need to get "pse for dummies" or something like that. I have no idea what the program can do and can't say I've really played with it. :) maggie

ps: I'm really impressed as well by the way.

Actually I use Paint Shop Pro X2 but the concept is the same.(and no doubt there's probably an easier way to do it!) I've read two books on my program but still didn't get it figured out until I read some tuts on scrapping sites.:lmao:
Thanks again girls, you have made my day!

I actually have "pse for dummies" (Yes, the book actually exists) I bought it when I bought PSE. It's great for helping with the basics of the program and understanding the terms that Wen used, but it doesn't really talk about scrapping (which was fine for me because I wasn't scrapping then). If you come across a good one for scrapping, let me know.

Took a little break from my cruise album....

One more page for my book...someday I'll be finished!! I used a CM template from one of the free baby boy kits and changed everything but the layout and the blue stitches. Papers are from Britt's Leave the World behind and Space Ranger kits. Fonts are Minnie and Disney Print.

ETA, i fixed the typo in the journaling -- noticed it after I posted here!

I like it without the borders, they seem to make the word border brighter and detract from the pictures for me; really cute page love the pictures and story.

Do you use PSE? I've tried to find an easy way to put a white border and can't seem to get it right.

In PSE, do you have the STROKE option under the FX? That is the easiest way I know in PS to do a border around a photo.

Labdogs Very nice! and fun! I like it with the white borders.
Janette I have PSE. To add the white (or any color borders), go to "edit" and in the drop-down box, there is something called "stroke" (or stroke outline, I remember exactly) If you click it, a pop-up box comes up that allows you to choose the color, size, and whether you want the border to be outside, inside, or centered.
My only problem with it is that I haven't figured a way to remove it except for clicking the "undo" button.

Thanks everyone - it worked great; I took a few classes but it's been too long and I didn't use PSE right away so I've forgotten how to do lots of stuff.

I owe the inspiration for this page to Yzerbear19; loved how the colors from Britt's Fairchild and SMT kits worked for AK on her Everest Page. I've got a few more pages to do of AK and will continue the color scheme.

Christy -- That LO is gorgeous! I LYL at SM, too. I see you did your shadows differently this time. I haven't tried that yet. How did you do it? Was it easy or a pain in SBC+? I need to try that sometime. Any tips or hints? Thanks. This layout ROCKS!
