Digital Scrappers - Post pages here!!!

I just finished my right hand page of the Animal Kingdom layout. I'm finding it very hard to coordinate the right hand side with the left. Does anyone else have this problem? If you do two-page layouts, do you start with the pages together and then split them into two or do you start with two separate pages and coordinate them?

Hi there :)

I've been reading the boards here for a while but only finally am getting brave enough to actually post things myself. I love this thread and everyone's work - so inspiring!! I've already got so many ideas for pages I want to scraplift :D

Since I'm being brave and posting, I thought I should share some of my work too since you were all so nice and posted yours :)

Thanks for looking!! :D

You did an AWESOME job! Welcome!:woohoo:

I also have been watching this thread and enjoying all of your beatiful work, I guess its time for me to start posting some of my pages, I specifically wanted to answer Susans question about 2 page layouts.
I usually do one page at a time knowing there will be a left and a right...they dont always have to match exactly but as long as you have some of the same elements/theming in both pages...here are some 2 page layouts from our April trip

Beautiful layouts! Thanks for sharing them and thanks for letting me know how you handle two-page layouts. I'm new at this and am trying to get in a good routine. I've been creating them one at a time, so I was hoping that it's the right way.

I doubt I would've tried digital scrapbooking without being inspired by all the beautiful layouts on this thread. I'm glad you've decided to join it. I'd love to see more of your layouts. They are terrific!

Thanks again!

Great pages everyone and welcome to our little spot on the web Aaronsmom, thanks for sharing your pages!

Here are a couple Disney ones I've done lately. Hope theres no repeats from my last post... horrid memory!

I think I'm going to use this one as the last page in my Antietam Scrapbook:

Remember: September 17, 1862

Remember-SM.jpg

I used the Burnt Edges action from Atomic Cupcake on the main image. I really wanted to keep it simple. The quote is actual part of the Gettysburg Address, but the sentiment and words I think could definitely be applied to any battlefield because we must not forget what they did there, especially at Antietam. With the Union victory at Antietam almost 145 years ago Lincoln was able to issue the Emancipation Proclamation freeing the slaves in the states in rebellion. It also gave a new meaning to what the Union was fighting for: it was now fighting for freedom for the slaves.

Very beautiful and it looks like a professional print.... Great job.

Great job Fran & Yzerbear!

Yzerbear, I love the battlefield layouts. They are incredible.

Two of my dad's great grandfathers (his mother's maternal grandfather and his father's paternal grandfather) fought in the Civil War on opposite sides (from Ohio and AL). As per records, they fought in at least one battle against each other. Of course, they didn't know each other or know their grandkids would eventually marry. It's amazing both men lived through these hard times. Thanks for sharing your battlefield layouts. They are beautiful but so much more since they are a part of history.

What an amazing fact! My goodness.... I wonder if they ever did discover that about each other. What a neat family fact to have!

I'm not sure if they ever met, but I suppose the family knew about it. My grandfather came from WV to Camp Sheridan to train for the war and he met my grandmother here (AL) at a dance for the soldiers. It was the same place that F. Scott Fitzgerald came to training and met Zelda. I don't know if they knew each other (my grandfather and F. Scott), but it's still pretty neat to think about that whole era.

I digress. Anyway, my grandmother and grandfather got married. I'm sure their families must have known about their grandfathers being on separate sides in the war. However, I don't know if the grandfathers ever met and traded war stories. I grew up knowing about my Confederate gggrandfather, but never knew about the Union gggrandfather until I "met" a cousin online who filled me in on all my WV and Ohio relatives, including my gggrandfather. This cousin has shared lots of information and pictures.

It's a really cool story. I'd love to write a historical novel about the grandfathers, but I'm not a writer. Whenever I see movies like Cold Mountain or beautiful pictures like Yzerbear's, it makes me think of them and what they must have gone through.

Fran -

Saw your note on your blog. Have a wonderful time in WDW!!! Wish it were me but alas I have 74 more days.

Way too cool! I think that is one of the neatest stories I've heard! Write down all you know about each for your children. It will be an awesome thing as they get older!

Oh, and if you ever do write that book.... let me know!

Hey Phedre! I love your dad LOs. These are great. I was wondering if you could tell how you got the little black mickey. Did you make him, find him, and how did you out line him?????? I just really like that look and was curious.

If this is going to be your last page (great choice) does that mean you're almost done?? It's really coming together great. Who are you going to use to make the book, or are you going to do it yourself?? I'm looking for opinions on making your own versus printing one as we're getting ready to do a big trip and I wanted to have in my head how I was going to do it for planning purposes, ya know!

I think I'm going to use this one as the last page in my Antietam Scrapbook:

I finished a couple of digital layouts for my family book. The first one is of me and my oldest brother. My brother never wanted any siblings, let along a sister because girls have cooties.

YB-Chris-SM.jpg

This one is a layout similar to one I did for the scrapbook for my Grandma's 90th birthday. The quote was on a sticker I had used and I really liked the saying. The one picture that is blurred out is of the all 4 of us. This was the first picture of all 4 of us in many, many years. We had the picture taken for a gift for our parent's 30th anniversary.

The elements for both layouts are from Atomic Cupcake. I used several actions from Atomic cupcake with both as well.

I finished 2 more digital pages today. The first one is of my oldest brother, Chris.

This is my sister. When she was born she had a broken left collar bone, whish is why her one arm looks a bit funny. Again, I worked in the word "Sweet" to annoy her. ;) She hates it, which is why I must use it!

Credits: The flowers and brads are "Pretty Petals" by Melany Violette - Sweet Shoppe Designs. The stick pin is by Valj at http://vjscraproom.blogspot.com. I created the paper and the lace border. I created the lace with a brush and used a template from Atomic Cupcake to creat the scallop. And again I used the cute little tag I made.

Here are my latest layouts. All of the kits used are from PeppermintCreative.com.

1st Birthday: Melinda - For both mine and Melinda's 1st birthday layouts I used the same kit, "Party Pants."

1st Birthday: Melissa - This layout is my 1st birthday:

Peek-a-Boo - I really liked playing in my playpen when I was little when I wasnt' crawling out of it. ;) The kit used was "Twinkle Toes." I used the Atomic Cupcake action, Felt, on the title.

First Steps - This layout is of my first steps. :) The kit used was "Lilac Garden."
