Well I have finally starting working on my cruise pics.....

Here is layout that I originally posted with a WDW pic but I reworked it to use for one of my cruise pics so here is the new version:

Those are so nice Fran...great job! I love the working hard/playing hard one...too cute. And the hand in hand one....that is so precious. I'll have to scraplift some of those...you're a very talented scrapper.

ETA: While I was posting this you added some Disney ones....I LOVE them. I can honestly say I love your scrapping style. Your pictures are always the focus...I hate when the pictures get lost in the layout...some scrappers seem to focus on doing these elaborate layouts & the pics are like an "after thought". Your pictures really stand out (just my .02). I really enjoy seeing your layouts...keep posting.

Thanks Lisa. And I totally agree. Some digital scrappers do all these fancy artistic pages, which are usually beautiful, but the story or the pictures get lost along the way. When I print my pages, I want to remember my trips or just things about our lives, not see a pretty picture and wonder what happened that I took a pic.

I have just recently discovered challanges at the scrapbook sites. Which ones do you like the best or would recomend?

Honestly challenges with a guaranteed prize motivate me the most. A couple sites (Digitals & SOTB, may be others as well) have all their monthly challenge gifts coordinate into a big kit, which motivates you to do more of their challenges. I've done all the SOTB ones this month but am struggling with a couple of the ones at Digitals, since they are so specific, ie you must use these pieces I give you in a LO. And while the pieces are nice, they really aren't my style or I don't have much in my picture stash to go with them.

I really struggled with one there with a military theme and you had to use one of 3 word arts. Well, I have zero military people in my life. I think I've had a couple much older family members in the military, but they are relatives I barely know and I don't have any photos of them. I did the flag lowering ceremony at MK LO for that one.. a bit of a stretch, but patriotic at least!

DSP has a few challenges too, most have a random prize, so only a couple people that participate will get a prize. I will probably do those, since I have so many DSP products.. I've been lucky on their challenges a few times.

SBE has a few challenges too, and I did one, and I will probably try to do more, but the month is running out. They have posting rewards for all too.

Fran - Thanks for all that great info!!!! I just found SBE this past week and I have been working on the challanges there. In fact, there is a template challange going on right now where every week you get a couple of peices of a kit...well I missed out on the first two weeks so I also missed out on the first peices of the kit. Anyway, I posted the question about there being anyway to make up the challanges I missed to get the whole kit since I was new to the site and the designer was so sweet and just sent me the ones I missed. I thought that was super nice of her!!!!

I will have to check out the challanges at DSP & Digitals. What is the site SOTB? I don't think I am familar with that one and want to check it out...

As for challenges, i LOVE the ones at www.sweetshoppedesigns.com , that is one of my all time fav sites!! You can get points earned for each challenge, and then it is a percent off your order..
