And you are going to LOVE it!

I had the opportunity to have a sneak preview of all the amazing trademark Disney kits coming to SBC+ and it was so worth waiting for!!

Wanna chat more about it? Let's throw some ideas around. I can't sleep because I am SO excited! There are more choices than I have ever seen with Disney before. Digital Disney is about to arrive in a BIG way!

This may come as a shock, but I've actually done a Disney digital page! :lmao:

A while ago my mom found this little booklet thing she got when she went to Disneyland back in 1969 when she went out to CA to visit her brother who was in the Air Force was stationed out there. It is really cool. I will have to post the scans of it sometime. Since we are going to DL soon I wanted to do a THEN and NOW set of layouts. :) So this is the THEN layout.

Cool. I may have to get those. I have used PSE for a while for photo editing, and I do get the concept, but sometimes it just doesn't work the way I THINK it should, KWIM? I have Digital Image Pro, too and it is a lot easier (for some things) and I have CM's StoryBook Creator Plus which is super easy and intuitive, but doesn't have the flexibility of PSE. For now, I do most of my stuff in SBC+ because it is easy and I just want to have fun! But, long term, I want to learn PSE, even if I only use it to make elements of my own.

I found another Digital Image Pro user!!! I thought I was the only one who used that program. I too just LOVE it!!! I tried PSE and Corel and I am TOTALLY LOST! All the layer stuff is soooooooooooooo confusing! Anyway, by the looks of you LO, I think you're doing better than I am! I'm about ready to give up on Corel and go back to Digital Image Pro. Do you know if Digital Image Pro is compatible with Vista? If it is, I'm so gonna go back to that program!

Melissa, GREAT layout!!! :) Love the title lettering!

I can't wait to see NOW!! It is great that you have a reference to take your NOW pictures. I really like this LO too. I enjoy your non-Disney LOs too.

P.S. Wicked is my favorite musical!!!!

I love SBC+ and I am also - beyond excited about all of the new CM Disney products. I get my Autoship on Tuesday and I can't wait to get my the Disney Digital Content CD. I will make a page and post when I get it. Most of the Disney Digitial ebay sellers were pulled off - so this will be a great source for SBC+ users!

That's what i miss about no longer being a CMC :guilty: But glad to see you guys will post :goodvibes

for those that are learning about PSE. There are some on line and free(:) ) courses. Here is a link to the Sony ones, There is beginners photoshop for scrapbooking, but i am not sure what version you need. I think it can be adapted to other digital programs, but i am not sure. There is also a PSE photo retouching which would be helpful. Hope this helps someone.

Disneycruiser, love your pool LO, so bright and cheerful.

Yyzerber-AWESOME 'then' LO, I'm filled with nostalgia now.

Meliaz- I'm sorry you don't like Corel, have you tried the help center on the left?
I have tons of tut's bookmarked, let me know if you're interested in them.

For me layers are essential, they're confusing at first but in the end they give you tons more freedom in making your LO's exactly how you want them. I had a lot of frustration myself when I first started but in just a couple of months I figured out how to work it to my advantage.

Hi Christy, Jessica, and any other SBC+ users,

I opened up a new project as a 12 x 12 blank.

I used Britt's template by using the PNG files and importing them into MY STUFF as embellishments. You can't use PSD files - if thereis a way - I haven't figured it out without using PSE.

I dragged over each layer and started to isolate each element by using the rectangle in the "Tools" ribbons and make each embellishment a free floating element - but it was easier to just keep each layer a layer.

I picked a layer and went to "Tools" ribbon - I could convert any piece using the color or paper function. If there is more than one element in a layer - then you need to isolate it if you want each one to be different.

Just remember that you can use the right hand side to keep track of which layering with which you are working.

Also - I don't flatten unless is absolutely necessary! SBC+ will tell you - but if you flatten and need to mat - you can still copy and paste your pictures - make the copy a little larger and make the mat and then slide it behind.

I am also a huge right-clicker. I use "properties" a lot to make the elements exact dimensions and exact rotation.

Please post or PM me if you need help. I have spent more time learning all the elements of SBC+ rather than scrapbooking :)

The beauty of digital is that I can do it anywhere I can take my laptop!!!!

Happy Scrapbooking!!

Jennifer

Hi Christy,

So cute! Did you use SBC+? I also love your pool!

Thanks! yes I did use SBC+.... I really like it -- at least for now. This was just one of the premade changes, and i just changed out all of the papers w/ a non-CM kit. Thanks for the tips on the templates too... I think I kind of figured it out....I am going to try and use it to do a page with Britt's template with her new PIRATE kit.... Did you guys see it??? SOOOOOO cute!

Yzerbear, what a great idea for a layout! I have some things like that from the early days of Disney World so I can see some more pages in my future!

DisneyCruiser, cool page! I love the bright colors! Gives me hope that summer will be here one of these days!

I think it will be while before I out grow SBC+. I have a few friends that are graphic artists and they are amazed that CM has been able to "dummy down" photoshop. They all stopped using photshop and PSE and switched to SBC+ for scrapbooking. CM has really made a great program with novice and expert digitalscrapbookers in mind.

Thanks for posting the links to the Pirate stuff - I have three girls and they have no interest in Pirates - The closest I have gotten is one of the 2 year old twins putting her sisters clean underwear on her head and saying, "Look Mommy, I is a pirate!" But I am hoping we can do Prince and Princess Party - next WDW visit.

Britt is an amazing designer. Before her stuff - I wasn't comfortable doing Disney pages without characters and stuff on them!!! I love how she captures the Disney spirit with her work!

Again - I LOVE YOUR POOL!

@Melissa: I LOVE this page. As you already know! Love the gold and baby blue. So vintage Disneyland!!!

@Christy: love the pool page! That pool is COOL!

Thanks for posting my links! Did you miss the full pirate kit?! :) Hope not. It's all finally released. I've been so excited to get this out!! :)

Here's the page I scrapped with it!!

Click the image for credits - but its all by Britt-ish Designs! :) And don't miss the POTC freebie on my blog!! :cool1:

love the piratey set and the show off gifty and everything Britt! I guess I'll be diggin for me buried treasure today! :lmao:

What a fun page Britt! Your journaling cracked me up! These kits are rockin!
