DisneyLisa, great LO's, I don't think they are too plain, where did you get the mickey and minnie? They were cute. I am going to take an online scrapbooking with photoshop class this week! I hope it helps me, I would like to try to find out how you "tear" paper in photoshop.

Lisa - I also love your layouts and don't think they are plain at all!!!! You are such an awesome scrapper!!! Wherever did you get Mickey's Glove. I have been looking for a clip art image like that and have not found it.... I am thinking I am going to have to go to a scrapbooking store and buy one to scan into my computer....

Marci - I took an on-line course in digital scrapbooking and it helped me alot with the basics. The instructor's name was Tracey. I wonder if that is the class you are taking now....

Lisa, I love your layouts! They are not "simple" at all - very bold and modern and clean looking! Awesome job!

I think what's bothering me about my castle layout is that the castle pic in the background is cut off in the middle. Maybe if I downsized the picture so that it's not full page, it would look better? Going to play around again today - I'll post what I come up with. This is why it takes me more than a day to do one layout. I just can't seem to let go and move on. LOL!

I often feel the same way. I'll spend hours on a layout that I'm still not "happy" with so I usually just put it away and then open it and take a fresh new look at it a day or two later...the changes I need to make usually pop out at me right away. But then again, sometimes I just can't put my finger on why I'm not happy with it. I'm a lot of help aren't I?

As for the "clip-art" in my layouts...{{{ducks as she admits this}}} I scanned them from stickers I have here. I have TONS of Disney paper scrapping stuff I'll never use now that I'm digi-scrapping so decided to scan some stuff & use it...seems like such a waste not to. I know doing that is controversial but I decided it's just for my personal use so went ahead & did it (never expected to post any of my layouts anywhere). But it's one of the reasons I didn't post these layouts earlier. I just hope it doesn't start a debate about scanning.

Lisa - These layouts are awesome. I like simplicity and your focus on the photos. As for the scanning, you bought them and are using them for personal use so I don't see anything wrong with it. Just make sure if you post them anywhere you list that the Disney graphics are the property of WDC and you are fine..

Go for it Disney_Gram ...it's not that hard. There are many great sites out there to help get you started and plenty of discussion boards (like this one) where you can ask questions & get help/ideas.

It is not that hard once you get going it is addicting everything you can do to your layouts....

Lisa - I don't think there is anything wrong with scanning stuff you bought. Heck if Disney had digital kits to buy, I would purchase them but they don't so I guess we just have to make our own with clipart & scanning images...
