Hey Jessica! I'm glad you liked my pictures.
Getting those Wishes shots were the only real reason I bought a DSLR and took classes at the local community college. Is that weird?
Anywho: my setting were roughly an ISO of 200 which is as low as my camera will go. I used a two second time delay on most things, but I did start mucking with it as the show went on and pushed it down to 1.5 and one for some. I can't remember my ap exactly but for some reason I think it was 8. I basically used the instructions I got from here over on the photography board in the thread about how to shoot Wishes. I also focused on the castle and then turned my auto focus off to keep it from trying to continue focusing and missing the shots. I did use a tripod and my husband stood behind me to keep me from being pushed over by the crowd on Main Street, and I'm really tall. I can't imagine what it would be like for a normal small woman. I will say that unless I'm trying for these shots, I'll never watch Wishes from Main Street again. It was very UN-magical. I'll stick to my spot over near the Rose Garden in future.
HTH!
