I know this has been posted before and I am sorry for a repeat question. Should the digital camera with the media card be in your checked luggage or as a carry on? Thanks

Don't put ANYTHING valuable in checked luggage if you want to see it again!

The scanners have no effect at all on digital memory cards. I'd definitely carry on my digital camera and memory cards. Only traditional film with speed of 800 or more shouldn't go through any X-ray in checked bags or carry-ons.

::yes:: ::yes::
My digital camera is a couple of years old and it, plus the memory cards, have been scanned as carry on many times. Not a problem for digital cameras.
