Digital Cameras...

I think it's about time DH and I invest in a new digital camera...but I don't know where to start looking!! So I thought maybe some fellow DISers might have some suggestions.

Here's what I'm looking for:
Minimum of 8 mp
Thin and portable
Reliable
Easy to use(I'm good with technology, but I don't want to have the think too hard when trying to take pics!)

I don't want top of the line, but I don't want something too cheap either...we're thinking about spending about $200-275. Our current camera is a Sony...it's just kinda big and has been dropped a few too many times over the past 5 years!!

Anyone have any suggestions for a good camera?? Or...anyone know of a good site to research this??

Can't help you with the small 8 megapix--ours needs its own suitcase.

I used www.cnet.com to research cameras.

I can highly recommend the Canon SD 750. We have had it for over a year and prices have dropped a lot on it. I just saw it on the Dell website for $159. I thought we got a good deal last year at $220 It is small...takes great pictures, has fast shutter speed and also takes great movies.

After much research I recently purchased a sony cybershot w150. It's small, 8.1mp 5x digital zoom. It takes nice pics and it has a optical viewfinder which I like and not many digitals seem to have. Linda
