I'm in the market for a Digital camera, mine just craped out on me yesterday.
It was a Sony Cyber-shot 2MP and I got about 4 years out of it.

I was wondering if anyone had a Consumer Reports handy to see what they recommend? I want to stay under $300.00

It helps to have a few models in mind before you try to make your comparisons. If you go to Cnet.com - digital cameras , you can input your requirements (price, # MP, Zoom Range, type of memory, etc.). This can help in narrowing down your search.
