Digital Camera...

I don't know if I agree with letting Walmart process your digital pictures. I had my first batch processed there and they were horrible!! Now keep in mind that I love Walmart. Hard to get me out of the store. They develope fine 35 mm pictures. The digital pictures that they developed I didn't even purchase. Then I had them processed by a regular photo lab. There was a huge difference. Maybe it was just the person that developed them. I now do my own pictures. I bought an Epson Stylus CX5200 printer. After I touch them up and print them they are wonderful. Just some food for thought!!!!!

I knew I would get some great feedback here...thanks! Interesting about the different opinions of Walmart, could it differ from store to store?? I think I will be making my purchase this week....:)

I just bought a brand new 256 MB memory stick on eBay for $70 - $78 with shipping and insurance. I was happy with that. I think it was Lexar or some brand that sounds like that. At 5 MP I am hoping to get 100 pictures on the stick.....?

We've had a Nikon Coolpix 880 and now I have a Nikon 5700. I LOVE it. It's all the camera that'll I'll ever need now or in the future. If you're a photo buff I'd say go with the best one you can afford.

Best of luck!

I can comment on Wal Mart. They have a machine that you but your memory card into and choose which pictures how many and even edit...I think for .29 cents a piece. My only complaint is that they are not glossy....which is what I like....I upload my photos to OFOTO.com....they do great processing...plus, I keep all my pictures there in albums....I can email a link to family and friends...they go to the site and are able to view the album...without having to download...and they can order prints if they want. They charge .49 cents per print...which is more....but, sometimes it is worth it.....

I have a Nikon Coolpix 775. 2 mp. I have enjoyed the camera...I have already had to send it back to Nikon after only owning it a year....Had hoped they would replace it....but they didn't. I have 2 128 memory cards and 2 batteries...which was well worth the $..on my Wonder cruise in Jan. I had no trouble filling up most of both the cards....I would try and delete each night....but, still ended up with LOTS of pictures

Good Luck.

OK, I bought the Sony and I tried it out yesterday. The pictures were taken inside and every single one of them came out blurry. I don't have this problem with my Nikon SLR, so I am wondering what I am doing wrong?? Any suggestions?

I see that you're from MA. If you belong to Costco, it's only .19 per print and the quality is excellent. Also, now that you have your 1st mem stick, shop around for your 2nd one. OFten you can find a good deal with rebate. 2 months ago, I got 256mb from Dell, with Dell's instant % off and manu. rebate, it came to $39. no tax, free ship.
