Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has used any photo labs in Orlando to free up memory on your cards? If so where, how much did it cost, what was the turnaround time and what are the storage limits?

Many Thanx

Scott, have a look on www.jetmedia.co.uk. I bought a 128mb smartmedia card from them last week for £21. Very good, prompt delivery too. Then you can put your pics on your own CD's at your leisure.

hi My Ed
can you explain how this smart media works for us less techy types please??

My Cam uses SD and memorystick. The reason i want to burn them whilst there is to free up my memory cards.. then I can choose what to keep and discard at home. Even taking 256mb of memory only works out to about 180-200 shots on highest settings. I anticipate taking more that this so I've plenty to play with when I get back.

i beleive Walmart on the 192 can do this.
it's a bit like the photo centres in Asda over here.
Please correct me if i am wrong anyone?

I agree - I seem to remember seeing a post about WalMart offering that service - something like about $10 or so a time, I think.

It depends how often you are going to dump the pictures down Scott, but something like a portable CD-copier might pay for itself in the long-run. I came across this little device a few weeks ago which looks pretty nifty and handles most card types http://www.intro2020.co.uk/apacer.html
