I am thinking about buying a digital camera, but I need some help! I don't want anything complicated, nothing fancy...just a basic camera. I've narrowed my list down to three, I think, :D ...a Canon A40, a Nikon Coolpix 2000 and a Fuji 2650. All are 2.0 pixels, have 3x optical zoom and 2.5x digital zoom. They range in price from $200 (Fuji), $230 (Nikon) and $250 Canon. I will be using it for trips and holiday picture taking. Anyone here have any of these or something else that would be what I'm looking for? Thanks!

I'm a Nikon snob so I would suggest the Nikon but if you can bring yourself to spend a little more, I've heard that the Coolpix 2500 is worth it for the quality of the images.

Here's a great link to check out detailed reviews for each of these cameras: http://www.dpreview.com

We bought the Nikon 2500 and really like it. Small and easy to handle.

Thanks, guys! After reading some reviews on the site that Scott posted, and the response from RNMOM, I'm going to get the Nikon 2500.
