Hey everyone~

We are 60 days out from our pre-cruise stay at the DLH. Last time we went to DLP (Oct '05) we stayed concierge level. It was very nice, though it wasn't as worth the money as we feel it is at the WDW resorts. So we opted against it this time.

Can someone tell me the pluses and minuses of the various towers? I might want my TA to at least put a request on the reservation. All I remember is that Sierra is closest to DTD and the monorail, right?

We loved, loved, loved Disneyland Park and wish it wasn't across the country from us so we could go more often! :goodvibes

Thanks so much, DISers!

The Dreams tower is the closest to DTD, I think it used to be called Sierra. We stayed there a few weeks ago and it was great. We happened to have a corner room overlooking the Sorcerer's Hat and it was a great view. We could even see some of the fireworks at night.

I can't speak about the other towers, but the Dreams tower was perfect for us with a small child, the walk really felt quite short and we were close to the elevator, but at the very end of the hall so it was quiet too.

The Wishes tower (use to be called Bonita) is good for families needed extra space. We have 3 kids, and those rooms are by far the biggest. They have the bathroom and then an extra area with a desk and lighted mirror and appliance plugs around the corner--so I could get ready and do the girls hair while someone else was in the bathroom. Extra room for luggage and wiggle room as well. It is also quiet there in the rooms over looking the falls (if you are higher up) because it blocks out noise and you get a good view of the Peter Pan pool.

The Dreams tower is neat if you are higher up and overlooking either the pool or downtown disney--you can really see the disneyland resort from the higher rooms on the DTD side, and can easily watch fireworks from there. The rooms are smaller, though. We stayed there (on the 8th floor) over Xmas, and had a great view of the Christmas Tree in DTD. It was a bit noise though--you could hear the DTD noise far into the night and early in the morning.

I have never stayed in the Magic Tower (where they have check in) but have been told by the CM's that those are the smallest rooms. Many overlook the parking lot--so I would not like that. The other side overlooks the pool and some rooms have the resort view. They would not be good for us as they are the smallest of all the rooms.

I don't mean to highjack this thread but can anyone tell me what tower the Concierge Rooms are in? I check in on Friday and I am staying Concierge, Downtown Disney view. I'm so excited. This will be my first visit to DL after many, many vists to WDW.

^^^^ The Dreams Tower - You can see the 'glass' elevator that takes you up to the rooms from DTD.

I've stayed in Dreams DTD view several times and agree that the noise can sometimes be annoying - the same music played over and over till late at night but the view is well worth it.
