Different Start dates for Spring / Spring Adv

My S did Spring Adv last year (2011) and started Feb 7th.
Does Spring only start at the same time or earlier?

Looking at the arrivals for this year's Spring Advantage 2012, it looks like most dates were either January or February. Spring Arrival dates would be later, since it is the non-extended program. I believe arrival dates are February-March-April for Spring.

Spring and Spring Advantage both arrive at the same time (Jan/Feb). Spring leaves in May/early June and Spring Advantage leaves in August.

Fall and Fall Advantage both leave at the same time. Fall arrives in August and leaves in January. Fall Advantage arrive in May and leaves in January.

Since My S arrive on 2/7/11, I wonder what are the reasons some come in Jan? Just luck?

They arrive and leave over a few week period so it's not all brand new kids training at the exact same time. He should have had a choice of arrival dates when he accepted the program, unless he accepted towards the end and January dates were no longer available. But in general they are given a choice of arrival date.
