Different products - Disney App vs DisneyStore

I've noticed a few products listed on the app that are not listed on the online store (or vice versa). Is there a reason for this?

For example, the Grumpy MagicBand is only listed on the app, not online. I just figured that both storefronts would carry the exact same items, assuming that Disney wouldn't want a customer to miss something because they prefer only one avenue for online shopping.

One is specifically for items sold in the parks. Disney Store is the retail store. They sometimes carry the same things; however, there are items that you can only by in the parks or buy from the parks via the parks app. Certain magic Bands and earhats are commonly exclusive to the parks.

Yep, there's a lot more items in the app then on the website - for example, there are CDs that have never been available in the online store. (I'm really tempting by the Magic Kingdom Event Party Music CD because it has Boo to You and Hallowishes, but it's $25 and I don't know if I want to spend that much for just those two tracks.)

Last year my son wanted to get a Grumpy plush our first day at the park. I had him wait until our last day at Disney Springs to pick something in case he changed his mind. Well he still wanted Grumpy and wouldn't you know they do not carry him ANYWHERE at Disney Springs and we had no more park tickets left. I thought I could order him at the Disney store and he is not sold there either. I was glad someone mentioned the app to me and I was able to get him that way. He is apparently only sold at the gift shop at the end of the Winnie the Pooh ride.

If you are at all technically inclined, a bit of searching YouTube will save you $25 for two songs.
