We are traveling to Disney in July and using our DVC. I called today to check and make sure that I had added the DP to our reservation, which I did. After lurking around today I realized that there are different prices now for different times of year. We were quoted by DVC $41.99 per adult for July for 1TS, 1CS and 1 Snack. I am wondering if we were given the wrong price. Does anyone know?

I'm not familiar with the DVC pricing, but does the quoted price include tax? That could be the difference.

I thought there was just a surcharge at some of the restaurants, particularly buffets, but not an increase in the DDP cost. I would guess the difference is tax as well.

From mousesavers.com:

Starting in 2010, the additional cost (on top of a regular Magic Your Way package) varies depending on the time of year:

1/01/10 - 2/11/10, 4/11/10 - 6/03/10, 8/15/10 -12/16/10 is $41.99 per night per adult or junior (ages 10-17), $11.99 per night for children (ages 3-9).

2/12/10 - 4/10/10, 6/04/10 - 8/14/10, 12/17/10 - 12/31/10 is $46.99 per night per adult or junior (ages 10-17), $12.99 per night for children (ages 3-9).

My understanding is that DVCers don't have to pay the extra surcharge for the dining plan. I'm not sure why. I think it may have something to do with computers and it will probably be something that is remedied next year, but I'm planning on taking advantage of it in June. So the price you were quoted by MS is the price you'll pay.

Just confirming. DVC members are not currently being charged the DDP higher prices for the peak periods. I believe it is because DVC negotiated the contract for the dining plans before the tiered pricing went into effect. I would expect it to change whenever they next negotiate their contract for the DDP for DVC members.
