My girl friend and I are staying on site in october and I was able to do online check in and i did. I added a credit card to be linked to the room. Is it possible for her to have her credit card linked to her magic band and mine linked to mine? if so how do you do it?

Yes. You have to ask at the front desk when you get there. We did this a few years back when MagicBands first were introduced and it took them a long time and multiple cast members to figure it out...but I'm sure they've perfected it by now.

ok thanks! unfortunately i wont be able to skip the front desk part of it but thats fine.

I am pretty sure you can with the Magic Bands. We could see who charged each item. It would be foolish to not have that as an option.

If you both have an MDE account and both have credit card and pin numbers in them you should not need the front desk and your pin and room charges should go to your own card.

It's easy to test, just charge something small to the room (or pick up your drink cup if your on the meal plan). Use your own pin and if that doesn't work for both of you then you need the front desk.

we both have a MDE account but when i was doing online checkin it only asked for one credit card even though it asked for 2 pins...and when i go into my account settings i have a credit card for online purchases but for onsite purchases it says we need to visit the front desk.

It still only allows one card per reservation. You can have multiple pins, but it all takes from the exact same card unless you change it at the front desk. You can do that at any time during the day though - it doesn't have to be when you check in. :)

We've done this and it works great! The front desk was able to do it pretty quickly for us and we were on our way. I love having it set up this way because we never have to figure out who owes what to the other. The statement confused us a bit as it's all on one bill, but of course under different card numbers, but we love it!

That's just online checkin helping you fill out part of your mde that you didn't fill out. If the other person your traveling with goes into their MDE account. Under profile you'll find the payment methods where they can setup their mde account with their own credit card and pin. There is only 1 card and pin per MDE account (that you can adjust), but when everyone has their own MDE, you each maintain your own card and pin. Again if they don't do it, they will default to the card and pin on your account.

To ensure everything is exactly as you want it, you should visit the front desk as it's much faster to get it setup right then it is to fix it later if it's wrong..

I have done this several times now, and while they are able to do it, they don't always get it right. Make the necessary account adjustments at the front desk, go to the parks using your separate magic bands, and then check it as soon as you get back to the resort. We have had to redo our accounts more than once on several trips. It usually works out fine, but keep a close eye on your accounts. You can ask everyday for a copy of your bill.
