We have cruised on DCL 4 times, the last time being about 3 years ago. We just cruised on Royal Caribbean's Mariner (our first non-Disney cruise) and much prefer DCL. I am looking into booking another cruise on Disney but am curious what has changed since we cruised 3 years ago. Can you guys get me "up to speed" on all the improvements???
Thanks!!!
If it matters, we have two dds, 13 and 9.

The BEST difference IMO is that PALO is now open for Brunch on the 7 day cruises (and I think it's on the 4 day cruises, as well). The Brunch blows away any other meal I've ever had on DCL. (We've gone on five DCL cruises).

Other differences are dining rotations are scattered into 15 minute increments for early and late dining. Meaning 6:00 dining would have 5:45, 6:00, 6:15 dining times, and 8:00 dining would have 7:45, 8:00, 8:15 dining times. This eliminated the long lines outside the restaurants at 6:00 and 8:00 AND provides better service from the wait staff.

The Pirates In The Carribbean Party is lot's of fun. The fireworks are awesome. I believe these are both new since 3 years ago. There are new shows...such as the Golden Mickeys.

They've remodeled Cove Cafe...and from what I understand the spa has had some remodeling done (unfortunately, I've never treated myself to anything in the spa).

On Wonder, the Mickey Pool has a kiddie section on the side by the big yellow slide...it's for toddlers that are still in diapers.

I'm sure there's LOTS more, but I can't think of anything else off the top of my head.

Hope this helps answer your question!! :)

Big TV screen by the Goofy pool shows movies! The Stack is now where a bar was (can't remember the name). Ocean Quest (computer simulator games) is now on deck two. It is mostly for the "tween" age group although my DS13 loves it too! Twice Charmed show is new, replaced Herc show. Rich Purpura and Michael Harrison are THE SAME!!!

HTH!

OMG! I can't believe I forgot the big screen by the Goofy Pool!! That deserves a big fat DUH!!!!!!!

Not sure if they had unlimited soda 3 years ago, but they didn't 7 years ago. I don't think the ship has aged at all. Hope that helps.
