Can someone please some up the differences between the two table service restaurants in the Mexico pavilion in Epcot?
Which one is better?
Does the counter service there serve the same "quality" of food?

I've only ate at La Hacienda so I can't compare the two. The Mexican counter service does use the same chips, salsa, and tortillas as La Hacienda. I don't know if everything else is the same quality but it seems to come out of the same kitchen

Differences:
Location and Ambience:
San Angel In the Mexican Pavilion. Dark Nice view of boat ride and volcano
La Hacienda, On Lagoon, Bright and airy, very pretty, beautiful view of Lagoon, some tables have a nice Illuminations view
Menu:
Check out menus here and at allears.net
We like both.

It used to be the La Hacienda was better because San Angel Inn had some pretty bad food / chips / salsa. That has since changed and personally we prefer the San Angel Inn food.

They are both good, but the food at La Hacienda does have a different flair to it so you do have a variety of food. Look a the menus and decide which one looks better.

We've dined at both and enjoyed them. The atmosphere at San Angel is unusual -- dark, volcano, tables huddled close together, hum of background noise from the marketplace. La Hacienda is an ordinary restaurant setup. Beyond that, we found the service and food quality to be similar. Menu and atmosphere is where the two placed differ most. My favorite mango-blueberry margarita is only available at La Hacienda. :)

La Cantina (the QS) has the BEST Tacos de Carne. I've had them twice in the last year, and I LOVE them. So, so good. But I personally don't care for their chips. Skip those nasty churros, too.

We ate at each of Mexico's sit downs in August. Both are very good choices. San Angel is a perennial favorite. We did notice the tables were arranged differently than in the past. Food has always been good. Nice "courtyard" feel, may seem dark to some but you are supposed to feel like you are outdoors at night. La Hacienda had very good food too. I would say it offers a more modern take on food choices while still being authentic. We had a beautiful window seat and enjoyed Illuminations during our meal and drinks. Neither restaurant rushes you and servers are very accommodating.
