We have been to SWSD many times, but we are planning a trip to Orlando for this summer. Has anyone been to both and could tell us what the major differences are between the two and whether it would be worthwhile to check out the Orlando park? We will be there for 2 weeks, but there is still so much to do.

SWSD has several smaller aquarium buildings that do not exist at SWO. SWO has Journey to Atlantis with much more indoor theming than the stripped down version in California. SWO lacks a 3D movie theater, but it has a very good indoor cirque-style show that plays year round. SWO has a highly themed shopping and dining district called The Waterfront that does not exist in San Diego, and SWO has the Makahiki Luau dinner show (an extra charge).

I think the parks offer a similar but different experience. I guess your decision to visit depends on how much you like Sea World and how much you desire experiencing its sister park.

There's also a big difference is size. Orlando is much bigger than San Diego and takes a good deal more time to see as a result.
