Differences between BC/YC?

I thought I posted this a couple days ago but can't find it, but I just have a question on these 2 resorts. My husband and I were both lucky enough to get the 40% off pin, and we have been thinking about moving to FL from NY. So, I told him I wanted to visit FL during the summer so I can see how it feels to make sure the heat's not going to be too overwhelming for me. Anyway, he agreed and I booked the BC without telling him
We visited back in December and LOVED the looks of the resort and SAB. However, when I booked it there was only a water view room available. When I was playing around on the website, YC had a garden view available for $230. My trip is for 4 nights. Is there any huge differences between these 2 resorts that should make me want to stay at BC over YC? Or would I be just as happy at YC? We have 4 kids, they will be 13, 10, 8 and 2 when we travel. Thanks for any help you can give me!!

YC is stodgier but still nice. If it's a big savings, I'd go with YC. BC is noisier.

We just booked BC for August, and got a GV room. I was back & forth about which resort- but in the end booked BC- because it has a grab & go market, where you can grab a bite, & refil mugs. Also has Cape May, & Beaches & Cream. If that's not important, then book YC. They both share SAB.

If you stay at the YC, can't you still go to the market and refill ur mug and stuff?

Yes, you can still make purchases from the Market if you stay at the YC. It's just not as quick and easy to get to.

I chose BC b/c the Market was there for quick snacks/treats, it's just a tad closer walk to Epcot and I like the decor.

At YC, you are guaranteed a balcony. At BC you may or may not get a full balcony.

I think you'd be happy at either one. If they didn't have the room category I wanted at BC, I wouldn't hesitate to stay at YC.

We stayed at YC once but have never stayed at BC. I actually prefer BC to YC. BC was more convenient to get a quick bite to eat, we would always have to walk to BC marketplace everyday, also more convenient was the shorter walk to Epcot, not a huge difference but still a bit more convenient. BC lobby was more busier with people, a more open and bigger lobby, more seating lounging area. YC was quieter, which I thought I would prefer, but didn't.

If it make a difference, when YC and BC shared buses, YC was the first to be picked up on the buses and first to be dropped off. You know what I really like about the YC, the elevators were super fast,it seem like it was one of the more faster elevator I've been on lol. You can't really go wrong with either, just next time for us, we would pick BC over YC.

Here is a description of some of the differences between of the YC and BC. If you haven't been over to the FAQ thread for the resorts, follow the link in my signature.

The Beach Club and Yacht Club are similar resorts in terms of service and amenities, and have equal access to the shared pool complex, health club and video arcade. Both resorts have the same management team in place.

Some minor differences have been noted by guests:

Beach Club
Lighter, beachy decor in lobby and rooms
Lobby can be active and lively with families waiting for meals at Cape May
Closer to EPCOT and Marketplace Gift Shop
Approximately 50% of rooms in all room categories have full balconies. The remaining are standing balconies.

Yacht Club
Darker woods and nautical decor in lobby and rooms
Lobby is more serene
Convention attendees are more likely to be booked at YC
Closer to Hollywood Studios and Friendship Boats
Most rooms have a full balcony
