HELP! I've looked on a few threads but can't really see what the difference (other than costs) of the 2 Concierge at GF.

I was looking at staying at the Poly Concierge but noticed that the SL @ GF is cheaper......can you help????

I've stayed in both, and for me, the biggest difference is the main building. With RPC, you are in the main building and don't have to exit to get to shopping, most restaurants and the monorail. They both have the same food offerings, both have itinerary planning staff, both have keyed access.

The atmosphere in RPC is a bit more sedate, while Sugar Loaf is laid back, but we have enjoyed our stays in both.

HTH! :sunny:

Just my own experience here but we have stayed at both RPC and Sugar Loaf and the whole family vastly preferred Sugar Loaf.

I know the 'main' difference in concierge offerings used to be that they didn't offer the alcoholic beverages at SL (when we stayed there) however I thought I heard that the menus for the 2 concierge locations was being streamlined awhile back? Maybe someone who has stayed there more recently can offer you more info on that.

We found RPC to be very 'uptight' and full of conventioners- not exactly a family friendly environment when we were there. We found Sugarloaf to be very relaxed, inviting, and perfect for our family. I still dream of staying there again!!!!

SL is cheaper because it doesn't offer some of the same amenities. For example, the Poly's club lounge is large and multi-level (I believe). It has beautiful big windows that offer a view of Wishes. SugarLoaf is much smaller, described as cozy by some (including myself), but with no view. Kind of feels like a bed & breakfast to me. The GF's main building club level has the same open feeling as the Poly. There's no view of the fireworks from the lounge, but it does look out over the grounds and inside, it overlooks the lobby. In the evening, the GF Orchestra plays on the balcony below and you can also hear the piano from the lobby. Sugar Loaf views available by request, include marina & garden (very few marina rooms offering a limited fireworks view) ~ GF main building view requests include the MK (specifically the castle), garden and beach.
