Difference between touring in May and June

A friend is going to DL in June and is looking to me for advice in planning their family trip. We went in early May last year, and I am wondering if she will see much bigger crowds on her trip in mid-June? Are there any other differences for touring in June that I can let her know about?

I just posted a couple of different threads about this. It's probably on the 3rd or 4th page by now... I even did a poll because I was so worried about it. Everyone is telling me that the crowds are nowhere near as bad as Spring Break and Xmas Holidays. So, yeah, it'll probably be busier than May, but not insane where they run out of Fast Passes by 1:00PM. I hope.

Not sure of exact dates but somewhere around mid June I expect the summer hours to be in full swing and all shows up and running. Again, not sure of the dates because the calender isn't up yet. We are going at the end of June. We always go in summer and so far have never had horrible crowds. Indiana Jones was the only thing we had trouble getting FPs for because it kept breaking down and they would cover the machines too. I hope this new hotel deal doesn't make it more crowded than usual for summer at the parks.

Yes, mid-June is the start of the high summer season--and the crowds will be much bigger because kids will be out of schools, and parents will be taking their kids on vacation.

But we have often gone right around this time (and will do it again this year) and although crowded--it is not unbarable. We have been there at REALLY crowded times (one year on spring break)--but our June trips are just medium-high for crowds. You go knowing it will be crowded, and just adjust your expectations.

It also means that shows start playing every night (fireworks, etc...)--which is a good thing in my book! I don't like going to Disneyland when I can't see the fireworks each night. It is part of the fun for us--so I am not much of a off-season person.

We can't wait for our trip.
