Difference between pan/regular crust pizza?

Pan is thicker...

At Papa Johns, even the regular is rather thick and chewy, so I imagine pan would be rather doughy.

I'm not too hot on Papa Johns.....

That I dont know - I would assume so.

I love doughy pizza, as well - BUT I always find Papa Johns *too* doughy. Almost seems as if it's not cooked long enough or something.

It's very very similar to a Domino's consistancy (regular is) yet no ever-so-slightly crispy bottom. So the pan, has to be rather thick.

Papa John's regular pizza is like a hand-tossed crust. Pan pizza is thicker, like a deep dish.

Is the pan pizza in itself smaller? Is it round? And is the actual pizza crust the same thickness?

They also have thin crust in large. go to their website for the sizes. You would be able to find out if Pan is the same size as regular.
