I remember going to E-Night, where you pay $12 extra and get to stay in the MK for 2 hours past closing time. Is that what EMH is? I thought EMH was the extra hour when the park take turns opening an hour early in the morning for resort guests.

I've been so obsessed with my cruise for the past 2 years that I really haven't kept up with the parks. Now I'm going back this summer, and I'm so needing to catch up!

EMH is in the morning for an hour or the evening up to three hours. The best part is that you don't pay for the evening hours like the old program.

Unfortunately, like the others have said, E-nights have been discontinued. EMH nights can't hold a candle to the old E-nights. The number of guests during E-nights were limited, but EMH are a free for all. I had no problem paying the extra money for E-nights but during the busier times of year, the EMH nights are chaos and not worth participating in. JMHO

Man, I miss e-nights . . . nothing like hopping on Space Mountain and having the CM tell you "just wave when you want to get off!" or getting your picture taken with Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Roger Rabbit all at the same time on an empty walkway. even after they stole our snacks (and came back with fresh ones!).

OP, it should also be said that EMH is a perk of staying on-site. People who aren't guests at a WDW resort CAN'T take advantage of EMH, AM or PM.

But most guest of Walt Disney World DO stay onsite, thus making the EMH utterly useless. I went last summer, and I tried to stay one Wednesday night at the Magic Kingdom, if nothing else than just to walk around - and that's all I can do. Also, it should be noted that once the EMH begin, Fastpass is no longer an option - so if you've been saving your Splash Mountain Fastpass in order to ride at 11:45 that night, FORGET IT!

That's not always true.
Centain rides DO have FASTPASS during evening EMH.

No rides that I have tried for. I had a Fastpass for Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and Mickey's Philharmagic (that one I didn't really need it for) ... but none of them had their fastpass lanes open after 9 pm. Maybe its a summer thing?

Absolutely.....we had FastPasses for Tower of Terror last June during the evening EMH. Good thing too since the wait times for everything was insane!
