I currently have AAA rates for my July trip ($66.30 & $68.00 before taxes - full hookup). Can anyone tell me if the AP rates are better or worse than AAA before I waste time calling to ask if they're available?

Thanks!

Stay with the AAA rate. When the AP rates were released last week, I called to see what the discount was. I have a premium site reserved at the end of July for $93 and the AP discount would have dropped that to $88... a whopping $5 discount :goodvibes I then asked about the AAA discount and one was available. The AAA discounted rate was $79.05... a much better deal than the AP rate was.

BTW, the AAA rate for the August "value" season for a Premium campsite is $57.60 per night. I'm hoping the AP discount for dates after August 8th is more significant that what was just announced for late June and July.

Thanks for the info. I originally had a ressie for August, but changed it to July as my wife is due to give birth in early October and she didn't want to be out of the country that close to her delivery date. We used to go in July all the time, but for the last few years have found August quieter and cheaper. I still remember just a couple of years ago getting a site in August for $30-something a night with AAA. Those were the days! The Fort is quickly getting to be like a Value resort with their prices.
