Difference between 2016 and 2017

Why are there so fewer participating restaurants listed in the 2017 disney dining plan? I don't even see via napoli or tokyo dining and only one restaurant at Disney Studios.

This really ought to be an FAQ.

All restaurants contract with DDP, whether Disney-owned or owned by third parties. Most of Epcot and Disney Springs are owned by third parties.

Disney-owned restaurants negotiate their contracts in October. Third-party restaurants do theirs in December.

The 2017 DDP brochure is not worth reading until ~January 10 for accuracy.

Also note that except for a restaurant actually closing, the grand total of restaurants that have ever dropped from accepting DDP is, last time I checked, one.

Unless you're hearing a seriously strong rumor to the contrary, assume a 2016 participant will continue in 2017 (barring scheduled closure).

It's still one, and that one added back on after a few years.
